Awards

Asheville, NC — At its annual conference held in July 2024, the Governmental Research Association (GRA) presented awards to member organizations across the country conducting research that matters on the most pressing issues facing our cities, regions, and states.

Established in 1914, the GRA is a national group of organizations and individuals professionally engaged in public policy, governmental, and civic research. In 2024, there are 28 member organizations in 17 states.

Frederick P. Gruenberg Award

The GRA conferred the Gruenberg Award for lifetime achievement to Nancy Rose, who served the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research and EducationNC for more than 35 years; and to Dr. Kriss Sjoblom, research director and senior economist with the Washington Research Council.
